Beverly M. Segers

After a year of declining health, Beverly M. Segers, 91 of Akron, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 5, 2024.
Beverly was born Thursday, Nov. 3, 1932 to the late Clarence and Stella (Bailey) Schafer and she was a life-long Akron area resident. Beverly's life was deeply rooted in the love and care of her family. She was a longtime member of the Akron Baptist Temple and was active in Voris PTA during her children's school days. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing items for her grandchildren and completing jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Schafer; and sister, Jean Harvey. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Bennie Segers; children, Pam (Frank) Rockhold, Bob (Vicki) Segers, and Bill Segers. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Ryan (Andrea) Rockhold, Logan (Eric) Shaefer, Hallie (Dylan) Ball, Abby (Thomas) Shaub, Hannah Segers, Ashlyn Segers, Trent Segers, and Carley (Ben) Cook; 4 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 11:30 am, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319, with Rev. Larry Knight Officiating.
