Don's obituary in the 28 Jul 1958 Fremont [OH] News-Messenger states that he was a musician with the Jack Benny orchestra and had played with the Biltmore Bowl orchestra in Hollywood. He was a graduate of Fremont High School and Ohio State University. "Surviving with his mother are his widow; sons, Randy, 8, and Ronald, one year, and a daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Bert Berry, of Scranton, Pa. There are two grandchildren. . .His father and a sister, Evelyn, preceded him in death."
