Jack Ronald Powell, age 62, passed away at his home in Wellington, KS on August 22, 2007. He was a retired truck driver with Appel Trucking out of Dodge City, KS.

Jack Ronald Powell was born on October 21, 1944 in Prosser, WA to John J. Powell and Lynn (Black) Powell.

Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and going to car, gun, and military air shows. He had a talent for welding and telling stories.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Powell.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Feaster of Winfield, KS and John Powell of Wellington, KS; three daughters, Dana Scannapieco of Udall, KS, Crystal Powell of Winfield, KS, and Jacqulyn Powell of Udall, KS; two brothers, Joe Powell of Wellington, KS and Steve Powell of Woodward, OK; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A memorial has been established with the Sumner County War Memorial. Contributions can be mailed or left at the Funeral Home.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
