MR. PAUL C. BAUMGARDNER, 79, of Lesage, W.Va., died Sunday, October 19, 1997 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 A.M. at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Frank Brotherton and Rev. Robert Browning officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born September 15, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Sumner Earl and Bessie Conrad Baumgardner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Freddy Baumgardner. He was a former supervisor for the Guyan Soil Conservation District and was a retired equipment superintendent for Turman Construction Co. He was a member of the Olive Missionary Baptist Church and the I.E.O.U. Local 132. He was honored by the Lions Club for dedicated Humanitarian Services. Paul is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Clarice Meadows Baumgardner; a sister, Hazel Knight Corum of Huntington; and a nephew, Lowell L. Sharp of Lesage, W.Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
