Sarah Jane (Elliott) Davis, 92, of Cresaptown, on her beloved Brant Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019.
Born on Oct. 15, 1926, in Cresaptown, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Estella Esther (Duckworth) Elliott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 74 years, Lawrence P. Davis; brother, Robert Elliott; and a special cousin, Lucy M. Elliott. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Sarah Jane was the best cook and baker ever. She could sew, knit, crochet, and cross-stitch - all self-taught. She was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church. Sarah Jane never met a stranger, constantly had a smile on her face, always had something nice or funny to say, and had a very generous heart. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Davis Moore and husband, Jim, Whitehaven, Robert Davis and wife, Lynn, Cresaptown, Roger Davis and wife, Valerie, Cresaptown, and Anita Davis and fiancé, Mike Knieriem, Cresaptown; grandchildren, Nicole Gillenardo and husband, Todd, St. Peters, Mo., Sarah Decker and husband, Aaron, Lindsey, Ohio, Jordan Davis, Los Angeles, Calif., and Jessica Mash and husband, Christian, Oakland; and great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Henry, and Lucy Gillenardo, St. Peters, Yardley Jane Decker, Lindsey, Ohio, and John and Abe Mash, Oakland.
The Davis family would like to thank all those who loved and cared for her.

Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy. SW, Cresaptown, on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, from noon to 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home immediately following visitation at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Harold McClay Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
