James Ashmore

Nashville resident James L. Ashmore died Sunday, November 10, 2002, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 66.

Born June 22, 1936, in Washington, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Andrew Henery and Anna May Prenio Ashmore. Both preceded him in death.

He married Connie Sue Smith November 16, 1960, in Texas. She survives.

Mr. Ashmore retired in 1998 from Golden Operations in Columbus and was a member of the American Legion.

Other survivors include children, Lou Ann Lucas and James Fairmont Ashmore, both of Nashville, and Jeffrey Allen Ashmore of Shelbyville; a brother, Richard Ashmore of West Virginia; sisters, Fredi Kendall of West Virginia and Linda Ashmore of Connecticut; eight grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.

Also preceding him in death was a brother, Ronald Ashmore.

The Reverend James Brown officiated a service Thursday, November 14, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home.

Military graveside rites and burial was in Crouch Cemetery.
