Arthur G. Arrowood, 85, of 8002 Warren Drive died of a heart ailment Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Arrowood was born in Norwoodville and lived in Des Moines most of his life, returning from Newton and Peoria, Ill. He retired as a storeroom clerk for Iowa Power and Light Co., and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie; a son, Richard of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at Southtown Funeral Home, where the family will be present after 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to hid church's mission program.
