Louvena Jane Howard, 104, died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Stella Manor Nursing Center.
The daughter of William and "Babe" Cordelia Ross Phillips, she was born Aug.12, 1901 at Ft. Douglas. She was a homemaker and a member of Mill Creek Church of Christ.
She was preseded in death by her husband, Joseph M.
Howard; her parents, a daughter, Alice Howard; three sisters: Clara Carter;Annie B. Waterman, and Ella Mae Tilton; five brothers: Claud, Gus, George,Robert, and Heartsel Phillips; two step sisters, Leva Stone and Ollie Ross anda step brother, Homer Terry.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank Phillips of Lampasas, Texas and Marion Phillips and wife Violet, of Cheyenne, Wyo.
Vernon Howard will officiate funeral. Burial at Burgess Cemetery.
