Daughter of Mathias Burnet and Mary Elizabeth Rhoades Scofield.

The following is from the Lewiston Idaho 'Lewiston Morning Tribune" issue of Wed., Jan 22, 1964:
"JULIAETTA -- Mrs. Orpha Belle Woodruff, 87, a resident of the Juliaetta area for almost 60 years, died at her home near Arrow Junction at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Cause of death was the infirmities of age complicated by a broken hip which she suffered last May. She had been ill ever since.
She was born Aug. 23, 1870 at Poinette, Wis. and moved with her parents to South Dakota when she was four. She grew to womanhood there and on Dec. 2, 1900 she married Harvey O Woodruff at Virgil, SD. Four years later she moved with her husband to a farm in the Juliaetta area. He preceded her in death July 2, 1956.
She was a member of the United Brethren Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beth Wing, Juliaetta; two brothers, Dr. P. L. Scofield, Desmet, S.D., and R. S. Scofield, Auburn, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ch. H. Roberts, Fresho, S.D.; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren."

Note: While the obituary indicates that Bell and Harve were married in 1900, the SD state marriage record is dated December, 1899
