Daughter of William Claude and Sarah Elizabeth Fitzgerald West. Wife of Opie Reed Simpson and Frederick C. Teichmann. Mother of Opal Claudine, Norma Priscella, Kenneth Reed, Wanda June, Patricia Joyce, Shirley Ann, and Bruce Dale.

AMARILLO - Mary Simpson Teichman, 90, died Tuesday, March 16, 1993.

Services were at 1 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Al Norris, pastor of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Teichman, born in Alto, and moved to Amarillo in 1962 from Borger. She was employed by the Borger Independent School District for many years. She was past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Drake in 1980; and a son, Bruce Simpson in 1989.

Survivors include her husband, Fred; a son, Kenneth R. Simpson of Yuma, Ariz.; two stepsons, Vince Teichman of Denison; and Paul Teichman of Amarillo; three daughters, Claudine Terry of Dumas; Joyce Pattillo of Wichita Falls; and Shirley Willingham of Odessa; three stepdaughters, Floreta Stephenson of Potter Valley, Calif.; Thelma Gray of Denison; and Connie Teichman of Panhandle; a sister, Eddie Powell of Bakersfield, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-great grandchildren.
