HALLS - Odis Franklin Ballentine, 77, retired employee of Columbiana Seed Co. in Dyersburg, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley after a stroke. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Gates Cemetery. Mr. Ballentine leaves three daughters, Carol Woods of Dyersburg, Romona Rhoads of Henning and Sherri Smith of Halls; four sisters, Mattie Bohannon of Ripley, Rachel Ferguson of Halls, Lorene Siegfried of Memphis and Ruby York of Harrisburg, Pa.; a brother, Raymond Eskridge of Lafayette; a stepsister, Mary Maniescalco of Memphis, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
