Funeral services for Gail Myrtle Smith, 88-year-old Hydro, Oklahoma resident, will be held on Monday, March 10, 2008, 2:00P.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Weatherford with Rev. David Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.
Gail was born on April16, 1919 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to George and Ada (Kirkland) Campbell and passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Gail moved from Mountain Home, Arkansas to Weatherford, Oklahoma at the age of 12, where she attended school. She was later married at her home in Weatherford, Oklahoma and raised a family there. Gail owned and operated the Caravan Restaurant until retirement. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Gail is survived by two sons, Stan Smith of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Mike Smith and wife, Lee of Wolfe City, Texas; one daughter Pat Gray, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Gail was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hercel Smith; two brothers, Todger and Lowe; and two sisters, Violet and Ella.
