John Martin Cartwright

John Martin Cartwright, 72, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008, at a local nursing facility. Mr. Cartwright was born in Norwood, MO and moved to this area 53 years ago from Missouri. He worked as a carpenter with M-C Construction Company for 35 years. He was Protestant by faith and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Delorise Cartwright.

Survivors include his three daughters, Angie Trusty and husband, Michael, of Southport, FL, Debbie Cowan and husband, Gary, of Sandhills, FL, and Maryann Upfold and husband, David, of Southport, his two brothers, Dewey Lee Cartwright of Phoenix, AZ, and Charles M. Cartwright of Brighton, MO, his five sisters, Mary Grace Benad of Rolla, MO, Iva Berry of Eldridge, MO, Hattie Dickison and Betty Sue Brown, Both of Springfield, MO, and Joan Romero of Phoenix, his four grandchildren, Charles Wayne Cowan, Lesslee Ann Cowan, Jonathon Allen Upfold, and Christopher Michael Trusty, his two great-grandchildren, Daniel Wayne Ernest and Kylie Marie Trusty, and a special niece, Danielle.

Funeral services for Mr. Cartwright will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008, at 10:00 AM at the Southerland Family Chapel with Rev. Sandra Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Southport Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 6, 2008, from 3 to 5 P.M. at the funeral home.
