Gladys was the daughter of James Albert Barnett and Sarah Elizabeth Reed Barnett. She married Claude Alva Knedler and lived in Bloomfield most all her life. I remember as a child some of the special little things she did. Like, putting a bedwarmer at my feet when it was cold and waiting with us at the rural bus stop with a blanket wrapped around us to keep us warm in the bitter cold till the bus came. I could write a book. A few years passed after my Grandfather Claude died, and she then moved in with her son Charles (my Dad) in Phillipsburg, Mo. She passed away a year after her son Charles died but she left this world peacefully in her sleep with the bible on her chest.
