Viola was the daughter of Miles Achen Shreffler, a Minister, and Lottie May (Pifer). She was the wife of Frederick M. Kenyon.

Viola M. Kenyon Funeral services will be Monday for Viola M. Kenyon who died Thursday in Santa Cruz. She was 77. A native of Indiana, Mrs. Kenyon lived in Conneaut, Ohio for many years where she raised championship cocker spaniels. She had been a resident of Santa Cruz County since 1977. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Young of Scotts Valley; grandchildren, Robert Young of Napa, Jaqueline Urvin of Cheyenne, Wyo., Michelle Young and Marianne Panerio, both of Scotts Valley; brother, William Shreffler of Shreveport, La.; sisters, Mary Long, Elizabeth Walker, Loretta Wyrick and Ardella Nonie, all of Carlisle, Penn.; and by ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick M. Kenyon, who died in Santa Cruz in 1983. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at White's & Wessendorf Chapel, 138 Walnut St. with the Rev. Harold Johnson of Messiah Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. to time of service Monday at White's & Wessendorf. Interment in IOOF Cemetery.
