Louise Patterson Evans was a daughter of Peter G. Evans and his wife Ann Eliza Morehead. She was probably named in honor of her mother's sister, Mary Louise Morehead, Mrs. Rufus Lenoir Patterson. She was a granddaughter of Governor John Motley Morehead and his wife Ann Eliza Lindsay. She died at their home, Blandwood, in Greensboro.
