According to Volume 118, Page 290 of the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, the Honorable Shearjashub Bourne "married there [Bristol, RI], 19 April 1747, Ruth (Bosworth) Church (J.A. Austin, Vital Records of Rhode Island, 1894, vol. 6, part 1, p. 9), born in Bristol 7 Sept. 1721, died 31 Oct. 1796, aged 76, only daughter of Benjamin4 and Ruth (Lowder) Bosworth and widow of Nathaniel Church, who died 26 Apr 1744, by whom she had three children (Mary Bosworth Clarke, Bosworth Genealogy, part 4, p. 493-499)"
