Marney was to be a 1990 graduate of Valparaiso High School and was engaged to be married at the time of her death. Tragically, her life was cut short one winter's night as the result of an auto accident. Her parents survive as does her fiancee, Ronald Scott Mc Dowell of Valparaiso, Indiana
