Death of Young Mother

Mrs. Lillie Helms died at her home east of this city Monday. She was a daughter of James and Sarah Mounsey and was born July 16, 1880. At the time of her death she was aged 24 years and 16 days. Early in life she united with the Christian church at South Liberty and remained a faithful and respected member of that congregation until her death.

She was married to George Helms October 6, 1900. To them were born three children, Russell who died in infancy, Inez who survives her mother and an unnamed infant, buried with its mother.

The immediate relatives left to mourn over the departure of Mrs. Helms are husband, daughter, father, mother, one sister, and three brothers.

Funeral services were held from the South Liberty church Tuesday afternoon. Rev. J. E. Etter of this city had charge of the services. The burial was at Woodlawn.

Lillie D. (Mounsey) Helms, wife of George Helms, and a daughter of James P. and Sarah A. Mounsey, was born July 16, 1880, departed this life August 1, 1904, aged 24 years and16 days. She united with the Christian church at South Liberty in early life and remained a valued member to the time of her death. She was united in marriage October 6, 1900. To this union were born two children, Russell L., who died in infancy, and Inez T., also the unnamed with its mother in the casket. She leaves to mourn her departure, husband, daughter, father, mother, one sister, and three brothers with a large number of relatives and friends. Services at the South Liberty Christian church, Tuesday at two o'clock conducted by Rev. J. E. Etter, of the Warren church. Interment at the Woodlawn cemetery at Warren.
