George William Jennings born October 14, 1899 in Fowler, New York. He was the son of Morton & Cora. His father Morton F. Jennings died when he was ten years old on February 20th 1910. His mother Cora Pearl LaBow or Lebeau Jennings remarried a Carrol and had another child after Morton died.

George worked for a Mr. Freeman at age 9 near Talcville, NY and quit school when he was eleven. He worked for room and board plus about $5 a month. He never graduated High School but worked hard as a farm laborer and in 1925 he bought his farm.

He married Mary Ann Griffis January 17,1920. They lived on Maid of Holland Road where George was a farm laborer.

There was a "Sugar Bush" on the farm where they would boil up the sap into the maple syrup.

George had a pleasant disposition and a good sense of humor. He always wore a suit to church or the Masons meetings.

George William Jennings died January 2, 1989 in Ogdensburg, New York and was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Richville, NY next to his wife Mary.
