Vern served in the Army during WWII. He retired after 39 years with Earl Mfg. Co. Was an active member of the St Bonaventure Church. His greatest legacy was love for his family.
Preceded in death by parents, James and Anna Edel.
Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Bettie; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Kathy Edel; grandson, Keegan; siblings, Betty Novack, Harvey (Harriet) Edel and Jeanne (Don) Schulz; many nieces & nephews.
Memorial Mass 10:30 AM Thursday May 29 at St Bonaventure Church, 901 East 90th St., Bloomington, with visitation 1 hour prior. Memorials to donor's choice.
Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery
