Laura Frances Humphreys was born in MO 2 September 1858 daughter of Greenberry & Mary nee McCann Humphreys. Parents' names are from MO death certificate of her brother, Richard Humphrey/Humphreys: Richard Humphrey November 14 1949 Warren #40007. She married August Hermann Dothage circa 1877. After giving birth to a daughter, her fifth child, 24 February 1885, Mrs. Dothage passed away a short month later on 23 March 1885. August Hermann Dothage later married Amanda Augusta Scherding.

Mrs. Mary Margaret Humphreys (nee McCann), mother of Laura (Humphreys) Dothage, was daughter of Jesse McCann and Thalba Williams. Mrs. Humphreys died March 21, 1888; born December 20, 1840. Her husband's full name is Greenberry Humphreys, b. July 28, 1836, Tennessee; died May 29, 1919. They are buried in the New Warrenton Cemetery, Warren County, Missouri.
