Clarence was born somewhere in Kansas the son of Arthur H. Green and Serilda Scott Green. He had 5 siblings. At least 3 of these preceeded him in death. His sister Pearl I know not what happened with her. If she died before or after he did.
Clarence died at home (3041 Flora) KC. MO. of pulmonary cou???? cannot make out death cert. writing. chronic nyp???and pnumonia-lobar. Cert. indicated he had been ill for a week.
His father operated a saloon in the early 1900's. Eventually he worked as bartender in that saloon. Later he went to work as a sheet metal helper and finally became a sheet metal worker.
He, along with his family can be found in Carbondale, Osage County, Kanas state census of Mar. 1885. Sometime during that time frame to the 1900 census when the family moved to KC. MO. and will be found in the 1900 census on McGee Street.
Here he met the love of his life. Nora A. Young. She was living in the same apartment bldg. his family was in. Her sister Minnie Lee Young was head of household and worked as a shirt maker (garment factory).
He and wife Nora are buried side by side in the Memorial Park Cem. at 8251 Hillcrest Rd. KC. MO.
