SISTER MARY CHARLES CONVERY
Sister Mary Charles Convery, aged 66 [actually, 67], formerly of Butler, died this morning in the Ursuline Convent, Louisville, KY. Born in Butler, a daughter of the late James and Mary Faller Convery, Sister Mary Charles was a resident of Butler until entering the convent. Last summer, she celebrated her 50th anniversary as a nun.

Surviving are a sister, Sister Mary Augustine of the Ursuline Convent, Louisville, KY.; and two brothers, Charles Convery of Evans City, R. D. 1, [Butler County, PA] and Frank Convery of Youngstown, [Mahoning County], OH. Funeral services will be held and burial made Tuesday morning in Louisville, KY.

In March 1936, the school principal, Sister Marcellina had surgery and died. Sister Charles came from Louisville to take her place. Sister Charles and Sister Marcellina must have been very close as her grief was very obvious. She helped the students handle their grief and made their graduation very special, too.
