JAMES E. TURBEVILLE, GAINESVILLE CITIZEN, IS CLAIMED BY DEATH

Gainesville, May 23 - James E. Turbeville, well known and highly esteemed business man and citizen of this city died this morning at 3:30 o'clock following a stroke last night. Mr. Turbeville was said to have been in good health and chatted pleasantly with friends in the restaurant yesterday while eating his noon meal.

The news of his death came as a distinct shock to friends and is a great blow to his wife (Laura) and only son, James, Jr., both of whom were away from home. James was a senior at a military school in Hendersonville, N. C., and was to have graduated today, and his mother was with him for the commencement exercises.

They will reach home tonight, a circle of close friends having left this afternoon for Jacksonville to meet them and accompany them the remainder of the way.

Mr. Turbeville was owener of the foundry works in this city.
