Leon N. Brown, 67, of 74 Boylston St. died yesterday in City Hospital after a long illness. Born in Winchendon, he was the son of Antoine and Rose (Lafreniere) Brown. He worked at the Spencer Shoe Shop, Spencer, and retired eight years ago. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Blanche Brown; two sons, Leon Brown Jr. and John Brown, both of Worcester; two stepsons, Harold Haneley of Holland, and Robert Haneley of Worcester; three brothers, Andrew Brown of Spencer, Raymond Brown in Florida and Gilford Brown of Cherry Valley; and six sisters, Mrs. Julia Johnson and Mrs. Eva Laflash, both of Worcester, Mrs. Rose McEvoy of Spencer, Mrs. Laura Anderson of Leicester, Mrs. Rachel Schwartz of Cherry Valley and Mrs. Irene Butcher of East Brookfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave. Burial will be Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 tonight.
