GEORGE F. "FRED" HUNTER
George Frederick "Fred" Hunter, 68, of 3114 NC 561 Hwy., Louisburg, died Wednesday, May 4. A memorial service was conducted at 11 a.m.

Friday, May 6 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Joel Story and the Rev. Fred Roberts.
Mr. Hunter, son of the late George Davis Hunter and Arnie Duke Hunter, was a Warren County native born Feb. 9, 1937.
He was' retired from the Air Force with 22 years of service and worked for the Louisburg Post Office and was a farmer.

He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Centerville Fire and Rescue and the Arcola First Responders and Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mattie H. Weldon.
Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife of 32 years, Alice Faye Hunter; two daughters, Beverly Wheeler of Louisburg and Karen Griffin of Nashville; two sons, Clifton Hunter of Louisburg and T.K. Hunter of Malison; a sister, Betty Edwards of Louisburg; a brother, Sam Hunter of Columbus, Ga.'; and six grandchildren.
