Thelma Carleen MacDougall, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, May 17, 2008, at her home in Post Falls, surrounded by her family who deeply loved her.

She was born in Los Angeles June 20, 1928, the daughter of Carl and Mabel Geisen of Monterey Park, Calif. She and her brother, Ronald, both graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, Calif. She lived most of her life in Southern California, where she married and had four daughters, (who also attended Mark Keppel High school). She was devoted to her family and active in her children's lives supporting and encouraging them in all their endeavors. She cherished her friends and was always such an example of thoughtfulness and consideration to others.

She moved to Idaho in 1996 following two of her daughters who lived in the Northwest. She loved family gatherings, cooking, reading, bird watching, flower gardening (pink roses and carnations were among her favorites), serving in her church, traveling and playing cards with friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brother, Ronald.

She leaves behind a family that was dear to her heart: daughters, Sharon Malone and her husband John of Post Falls, Sandy MacDougall also of Post Falls, Carolyn Los and her husband Tom of Moses Lake, Wash., and Carleen Price and her husband RJ of Forest Hills, Calif.; granddaughters, Brenda Malone of Post Falls, Laura Gulbrandsen and her husband Andy, and great-grandson Erik Gulbrandsen all of Troy, Idaho; grandson Bryan Blethen; and great-grandson, Steven Blethen both of Rocklin, Calif., grandsons, Thomas Los, Peter Los and Robert Los of Moses Lake.

A funeral service was held at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene on Saturday, May 24, 2008. Interment followed at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens.
