NEW ULM — Cecilia Albrecht, 93, of New Ulm died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 2 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with Father James Moran celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Sunday and from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Cecilia is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Carol and Eldon Jones and Nancy and Ron Ludewig all of New Ulm; grandchildren, Travis and Kristin Nelson, Lori and Steve Lillmars and Wesley and Lauri Ludewig; sisters and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Fabe Sheehan of Bird Island, Helen Sheehan of Winsted, and Phyllis "Tootie" Vanderhagen of Bird Island; brother, Lester Frassel of Bird Island, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Albrecht on Dec. 23, 1989; brothers-in-law, John Sheehan and Bernie Vanderhagen; and a sister-in-law, Marie Frassel.
Cecilia Catherine Frassel, the daughter of John and Catherine (Fahey) Frassel was born on Feb. 6, 1915 in Fairfax. She was united in marriage to Raymond Albrecht on Jan. 7, 1950 in Texas. After marriage they farmed south of Fairfax until 1972 when they retired. They remained living on the farm until 1989 when they moved to New Ulm. Cecilia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.
