REV. JOE ALLEN, JR., 89, retired Baptist minister and World War II veteran, of Memphis, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008. Rev. Allen was the retired pastor of Morning Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Cordova. Visitation will be fromNoon-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at N. H. Owens Funeral Home, and from 9-10:25 a.m., with service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 5 at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 905 Ayers. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Theola Allen. He leaves a daughter, Jacqulyne Morris; one son, Grant Allen; three brothers, Rev.
