ESCONDIDO ---- Orel Ray Adams, 68, died Thursday, July 29, 2004.
Born Sept. 21, 1935, in Ada, Okla., he lived in Escondido for 30 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 12 for 52 years. He enjoyed hot rods and genealogy.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Zeva Adams, in 2003; and granddaughter Catherine Adams in 2002. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Marty and Connie Adams of Hemet, Steven and Jamie Caskey of Escondido, Michael and Tami Caskey of Henderson, Nev., and Kenneth Shedore of San Diego; daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Mario Liberati of Torrance, Glenda and Russell Smith of Diamond Bar and Rita and Scott Murray of Temecula; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Roy and Diane Adams of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; sister and brother-in-law, Alene and Tom George of Las Vegas; and grandchildren Heather, Kerry, David, Rebecca, Sara, Ashley, Carrie, Keenan, Aaron, Samuel, Lydia and Elisa.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. today, Aug. 4, at McLeod Mortuary Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1240 Palmyrita Ave., Riverside, CA 92507.
