Ozella Cude was born on October 17, 1872, in Oakville, Live Oak County, Texas. Her proud parents were Timothy J. Cude and his wife Mary Catherine Tullis Cude. Ozella had three known siblings--Green Prior William Cude, Woodrow "Woody" Asa Cude, and Eugenia "Genie" Mary Cude Steet.
When Ozella was 13, her mother died. Ozella took over many of the household chores including caring for her younger brother and sister Woody and Genie. Ozella, 27, married on June 2, 1910. She married John Rostow Jones who was born in 1870 in Illinois.
Ozella and John lived in Dallas, Texas, most of their married lives. Robert died February 12, 1961; Ozella died five and a half years later on August 19, 1966. They were both buried in Laural Land Cemetery.
