Philip "Vito" Gagliardi Age 59 of Middletown, DE passed away at his home on Sunday, May 2, 2004 surrounded by his wife and children.
Philip was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Airforce. He was employed as a facilities manager by Super G Supermarket for the past 6 years and was currently working at the Bear location.
He was a member of Millie's Blonde Bombers who participated in the MOT Softball Marathon on Labor Day and also performed with her group at fund raising events for the MOT Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Austin Gagliardi; and 2 daughters and their husbands, Amy and Everett Marvil of Greenwood, DE and Katie and Steve Roussell of Dover; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Chase, Derek, Steven and Paige; and 2 great grandchildren, Conner and Elizabeth. He was a super POP POP to all of them.
A service will be held on Wed. May 5 at 11 am in the DANIELS & HUTCHISON FUNERAL HOME, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where friends may call Tuesday evening, May 4 from 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Townsend Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the MOT Softball Marathon Committee.
