Nellie Belmont Willis, of Athens, a homemaker, died Sunday. She was 86.
Mrs. Willis was a native of Limestone County and a member of the Sardis Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Willis; one daughter, Bessie Faye Willis; six brothers, Dewey Dedmon, George Dedmon, Delbert Dedmon, Horace Dedmon, Ira Dedmon and John Dedmon; and one grandson, John David Willis.
Survivors include one daughter, Nellie Ann Worley of Athens; three sons, Buford L. Willis of Nashville, and John Willis and Jerry Willis, both of Athens; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at the Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Tim Keenum and Calvin Inman officiating. Burial will be in Sardis Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with McConnell Funeral Home in charge.
