NOTE: Family headstones and records have both BANISTER and BANNISTER spellings, with majority being BANISTER. Death certificate for Imogene's father has one "n" crossed out and informant was his son, Clarence BANISTER. However, Imogene's records have her maiden name as BANNISTER.

On 3 January 1920 Q. M. Banister (53), wife Emma (39), children; Ruth (15), Clarence (12), Lucy (9), Ruby (7), *Georgia (5), Edward (2) and Mr. Banister's widowed grandmother, Sarah E. (80) village of Doe Run, Pendleton Township, Francois County, Missouri. Mr. Banister worked in the lead mines. NOTE: Imogene would be age 5 at the time of this census, so it appears she is daughter "Georgia".

In April 1930 Quince Bannister (64), wife, Emma H. (49), children; Clarence (42), Ruby (17), Imogene (15), Edward (12), Henry Lee (6) and Quince's widowed mother, Rebecca (90) lived in Pendleton Township, Francois County, Missouri. Quince and Emma owned their home. Quince was an engineer at the lead mines. Emma did laundry for a private family. Clarence was an engineer at the iron mines. NOTE: They did not have a radio set.

On 4 April 1940 David L. Adams (58), wife, Blanche G. (55), sons; Everette C. (20), Carl S. (15) and lodgers; Imogene Adams (25) and Ronald Adams (3) lived at 1612 Swanwick St. in Chester, Randolph County, Illinois. David was a barber with his own shop. Imogene was a waitress in a restaurant. NOTE: Names spelled as they appear on original image of this census.
