Mr. Savin was a farm laborer. He retired 15 years ago on disability. Mr. Savin was a Untied States Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Savin; his mother, Katie Savin of Smyrna; one son, Lewis E. Savin, Jr. of Clayton; two daughters, Fay L. Dunning and Christine Savin, both of Clayton; two brothers, Lester Savin of Kenton and Fred Savin of Smyrna; five sisters, Virginia Carrow, Frances Knotts and Josephine Wallace, all of Townsend, Mildred Carrow of Smyrna and Doris Carrow of Clayton; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna, where friends my call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
