Ida Blanche Cox, 86, of Longview, died March 10, 2005.
She was born Feb. 23, 1919, in Lost Springs, Wyo., to Frank Warren and Mildred Alice (Horn) Young. She attended schools in Harper, Kan., and Wichita, Kan.

In 1940, she married Ray Ivan Cox in Wichita. He died in 1967.

Mrs. Cox worked for the Carriage Restaurant, Monticello Hotel, Woodland Bulb Farm and as a cook for the Camp Fire Girls summer camp. She also worked at the Cowlitz County Fair and with CAP.

Survivors include two sons, Frank W. Cox and James L. Cox; a sister, Marge Russell; a brother Tom Young; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
