Alberta M. "Bertie" (Brown) Gladfelter, 81, Mt. Union, died at 10:10 PM, Saturday, 18 Jan 2003, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Daughter of the late Elva & Carrie (Madden) Brown. Her husband proceded her in death, 5 Aug 1989. Surviving is granddaughter, Renee Anderson, Huntingdon, 3 sisters; Irene Snyder, NY, Margaret McGee, Orbisonia, and Kathleen Gracey, Waterfall. She also was proceded in death by a son, Paul Eugene, and the following brothers and sisters: Melva Ward, Glady Cohenour, and Elva "Pete" Brown, and a half-sister, Edna Gill. She was of the Lutheran faith. She worked as a cook at the American Legion Club in Mt. Union for over 30 years. Funeral services were held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, 22 Jan, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mt. Union, Rev. David Dearing officiated. Burial was made in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg.
