Graduating with a degree in accounting, Don worked in Syracuse for the IRS, became a CPA, and moved to Ogdensburg NY to become a partner in the firm of Whalen, Davey and Looney. He had three children, belonged to local clubs like Kiwanis, supported the First Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. He had many friends from all walks of life, and dearly loved to laugh at anything ridiculous. Some of his buddies were Ricky Badlam, Dr. David DePue, Dr. Bernard (Bo) Musselman and attorney Jack Leonard. He was very fond of Jimmy Mill's bar, The Place.
Shortly after becoming a grandfather, he decided to have one of his heart valves replaced. Post-surgical complications developed and he was not able to recover. Survived by wife Lois, children Sharon LaDuke, Robert Davey and Marilyn Davey, granddaughter Katy Davey LaDuke and several sisters.
