Mrs.Grace Effie Fowler, 79, of 414 High Street, Brandenburg, died Wednesday, January 23, 1985 at Humana Hospital Audubon, Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born in Sangamon County, Illinois on August 2, 1905, the daughter of the late James Nathan Milby and Clara Bell Milby. She married Mr. Steward Lee Fowler on March 12, 1924 in Meade County, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Steward Lee Fowler; eight children, Mrs. Anna Rose Hurlstone of New Orleans, Louisiana, Mrs. Troy (Nettie Grace) Carmack of Hardinsburg, Mrs. Loyd (Mary Sue) Gary of Hodgenville, Rev. James Steward Fowler of Louisville, Mr. Robert Fowler of Magnolia, Mr. Joseph Fowler of Hodgenville, Rev. Charles Edward Fowler of Brandenburg and Rev. David Leonard Fowler of Atkinson, Nebraska; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Buman, Mrs. Bessie Abel, Mrs. Mae Carter and Mrs. Flora Holland all of Louisville;20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. James McGarey, Rev. Kenneth White and Rev. Sam Farris officiaring. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Nathan Fowler, Timmy King, Danny Fowler, Timmy Fowler, Daniel Guenthner, Neal Fowler, Dexter Bentley and John Paul Fowler.
