She was born March 14th, 1922 in St. Mary, the daughter of Edward A. and Mary F. Braun Schwent who both preceded her in death.
She married Frank J. Armbruster on November 28th, 1945. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by eight sons and seven daughters in law: Kenneth and Linda Armbruster of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ronald and Linda Armbruster of Ste. Genevieve, Arthur and Jeorge Ann Armbruster of Ste. Genevieve, Dennis Armbruster of Perryville, Ervin and Laura Armbruster of Perryville, Wayne and Carol Armbruster of Ste. Genevieve, James and Debbie Armbruster of Festus and David and Kathy Armbruster of Ste. Genevieve; three daughters and sons in law: Brenda and Larry Hayden of St. Mary, Janet and Kevin Lea of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Linda and Robert Roth of Ste. Genevieve; five brothers and four sisters in law: Wilfred Schwent of Ste. Genevieve, Louis and Vernetta Schwent of Ste. Genevieve, Edward and Laurella Schwent of Perryville, Raymond and Marilyn Schwent of St. Mary and Donald and Martha Schwent of St. Mary; five sisters and two brothers in law: Bridget and John Griffard of St. Mary, Florence Meyer of Ste. Genevieve, Wilma Meyer of Ste. Genevieve, Dolores and John Spraul of Ste. Genevieve and Marjorie Wehmeyer of Perryville; 30 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Bova; a son in law, Terry Bova; a daughter in law, Mary Louise Armbruster; a brother, Clarence Schwent and a great grandchild.
She was an avid quilter and member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Confranternity of Christian Mothers.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 9th at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary.
A funeral for 86-year-old Mary "Marie" F. (Schwent) Armbruster of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of St. Mary, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10th at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary. The Rev. Richard Kasznel will officiate.
Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Saint Mary, MO.
Memorials may be made to the VFW Auxiliary Cancer Fund, Immaculate Conception Church or the American Diabetes Association.
