Joseph G. Dilworth, 86, died in the Minidoka Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning of a brief illness. He was born Feb 10, 1885, in Provo, Utah. He had lived in the Cassia area since 1905. He married Miriam Howard, Oct. 9, 1907 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. His main interests were in the LDS CHurch where he held several church offices.
Dilworth was a retired stock rancher and farmer in the Carey area. Survivors include his widow, Miriam; four daughters, Mrs. Jock (Emily) Bell, Rupert; Mrs. Vida Thompson, Carey; Mrs. WIlliam (Leah) Nielsen, Umatilla, Ore., and Mrs. Grant (Leora) Adams, Boise; four sons, Orvis Dilworth, Burley; Melvin Dilworth, Idaho Falls; Marold Dilworth, Boise, and Stanley Dilworth, Carey; two brothers, William F. Dilworth, Boise and Tracy Dilworth, Reno, Nev. Two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Sarah) Wilde, Jerome and Mrs. Ethyl Kirkland, Carey; 55 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm in the LDS CHurch in Carey. Bishop Verd Murdock will officiate, interment will follow at the Carey Cemetary. Walk Mortuary is in charge.
