PRENTISS, Nov. 14 - Mrs. Lucy E. Averill, 79, died Tuesday at the E.M.G. hospital, Bangor after a brief illness. She was born in Carroll the daughter of Edmond and Mary Muzzy.

She is survived by 12 children, Fay Averill of Lee; Mrs. Angus Stewart of Old Town; Benjamin of Prentiss; Asa of Belgrade; Edmond of Lincoln; Mrs. Linwood Bradley of Kittery; Mrs. Claud Boyington, and Page Averill of Prentiss; Mrs. Vaughn Lorsell of Lee; Blaine Averill of Danforth, Miss Dorothy Averill, Newton, Mass.; and Theodore Averill of Hartford Conn; 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, a brother, Leslie Muzzy of Greenville.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence. Rev. Hugh A. Gillis, Congregational church pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Belden cemetery.
