Mrs. Anna Marie Merritt, 55, of Louisville Ky, formerly of Taylor County Ky, daughter of the late William McNear and Lula Carter McNear, was born in Marion County , Ky August 23,1921. She died at 9:00a.m., Thursday, September 23, at Louisville General Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was of the Baptist faith. She united in marriage to Mr. Jessie Merritt in 1938.He preceded her in death February 13, 1963. She is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Delores Vance and Mrs. Marilyn Bell, both of Campbellsville, and Mrs. Shirley Cantrell of Dayton Ohio; five grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Helen Browning, Mrs. Virginia Cooke, and Mrs. Damon McNear, all of Campbellsville, Mrs. Evelyn Kearney of Mt. Washington, Mrs. Vivian Pierce of Owensboro, Ky and Mr. Troy McNear of Bonham, Texas; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. D.L. Druien.
Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were:

William Damon McNear was born on 4 March 1928, in Taylor, Kentucky, United States, his father, William Green McNear, was 53 and his mother, Lula Frances Carter, was 34. He lived in New Market, Marion, Kentucky, United States in 1930 and Magisterial District 6, Taylor, Kentucky, United States in 1940. He died on 20 January 1998, in Taylor, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 69.
