Services will be conducted at Centuries Funeral Home Chapel for Beulah Mae Berry King, age 90, of Shreveport, LA. on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Bob McCartney of Grawood Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Woody Janise of Southern Hills Baptist Church where Mrs. King was a member. Interment to follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Beulah Mae Berry King was born January 2, 1913 in Natchitoches, LA. and passed away on Monday, January 27, 2003 in Shreveport, LA. following an extended illness. She was a nurse and devoted many years of nursing services to Gowan's and Virginia Hall Nursing Facilities.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Cass L. King; a son, Cass L. King, Jr.; a great-grandchild, Micah Diane Brown; a son-in-law, John W. Wallace; her parents, Albert W. and Parylee Scott Berry, four brothers and one sister-in-law.

She is survived by her children: Doris Hight and husband, Loyd of Bolivar, TN., Virginia Freeman of Haughton, LA., James W. King and wife, Shirley of Tomball, TX., Jerry W. King and wife, Patsy of Longwood, LA., Carl J. King and wife, Carol of Shreveport, LA., Shirley Brown and husband, Freddie of Shreveport, LA., Patsy Atkins and husband, Rodney of Keithville, LA., and Barbara King Wallace of Shreveport, LA.; twenty grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Katie Berry and Mildred Berry of Natchitoches, LA.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Tommy Hight, James King, Christopher Brown, Kenneth Freeman, Lee Fatherree, Cassidy King, Jimmy Wallace and Johnny Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons: Wayne King, Corey Brown, Donnie Joe Freeman, Delton Freeman, Jason King, Steve Hornsby, Craig Kennedy and Scott Williams.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank Dr. David Ray Smith for his loving care.
