"Spartansburg, June 1 - Mrs O P Blakeslee, who has been a very keen sufferer for a year, passed quietly away Tuesday night at 9:30. Mrs Blakeslee was a woman highly respected and loved by all who knew her, and her sweet personality and help in all matters, especially those of the Methodist church of which she has been a life time member, will be greatly missed in the community. Arrangements for the funeral services were not known at this writing."

"SPARTANSBURG LADY WAS LAID TO REST - SPARTANSBURG, June 8 - (Special) - The last sad rites were said over the body of the late Mrs O P Blakeslee, Sunday at 1 pm, in the Methodist church by the pastor of the church. The interment was made in the Rose Hill cemetery. Those from out of town attending the funeral services were: C R Binney and daughter of Silver Creek, NY, E A Alsdorf and wife of Oil City, Mrs Mahoney and daughter Rose, and Mrs Grace McKelvey of Corry, Cyrus Blakeslee and wife and Mr and Mrs Raymond of Columbus."
