Moses Higgins Blakeslee died at the Corry Hospital, June 6, 1909, after several months illness. He was the second son of Abraham and Harriet Blakeslee, born in Spartansburg, April 30, 1835. He married Laura J Ludden on August 20, 1859. Moses died leaving a wife, Laura J, four brothers; O P, F M, and H E Blakeslee of Spartansburg and C A Blakeslee of Columbus, Pa, also two sisters, Pruda M Hall of Vinton, Iowa, and Mrs Della Mahoney of Corry. Funeral services were held at Spartansburg M E Church on Tuesday, June 8th. Services were conducted by Rev Aldrich and interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in the family lot.
