Age 87, passed away August 13, 2005. He was born on September 3, 1917 in Westphalia Township, the son of Frank and Caroline (Fandel) Rademacher. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia, the St. Joseph's Society, and a Charter and Legion of Honor Member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Mr. Rademacher was a farmer all of his life and was the recipient of the Clinton County Conservation Farmer of the Year Award in 1973. On May 26, 1943, he married Verena C. Smith at St. Mary's in Westphalia. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Holland; brothers, Slyvester, Wilfred, and Leander Rademacher; sisters, Lillian Smith and Edwina Randall; great granddaughter, Kaitlin Paul. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Verena; children, Joseph (Laura) Rademacher, Gary (Mary) Rademacher, John Rademacher, Thomas (Ann) Rademacher, Roy (Laure) Rademacher; daughter, Mary T. (Jim) Morgan; son-in-law, Jim Holland; 21 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Marcella Spitzley. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Cecilio Reyna at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street. The Rosaries will be prayed at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. both days. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or the Father Al Miller Trust Fund in memory of Mr. Rademacher.
