George,77, was born in Dayton Ohio to George Sr and Rose (Murphy) Sturm.

He was married in 1950 and had three children. In 1969 he relocated his family to Western Florida. George found work at a local produce company and was their many years. He also started his own sports memoribillia business "Sport Shorts by George" which he ran out of the local flea market.

In the late 70's George relocated to the Nevada area. Working for Bonanza Produce. One of his sons moved out their and the two enjoyed the area together. In the mid 80's George moved back to FL and never left again. He worked briefly for the St Petersburg Times in the telemarketing dept and for The Home Shopping Network. Lately he was a courrier for sereral different business.

George loved dancing and in the 1990's achieved a small claim to fame in the local area. He was crowned the "KING" of swing over 15 times at the former JD PENGUINS in Clearwater. He was an avid bowler, loved the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He could often be found at the dome rooting for the Rays on any given sunday evening.

George was preceeded in death by his parents and six siblings. He is survived by his ex wife Charlotte, two sons, Gary(Kim) of Ohio and Gregg(Beth) of New York and a daughter Cindi(Clint)Carter of Ohio and two grandsons. Also survived by a sister in Nevada along w/ many nieces and nephews

Cause of death: died from injuries due to car/semi accident.
