My Daughter Katelyn wrote this poem about my Dad for his funeral.
Today, is a day of great sorrow
And it makes it hard to consider tomorrow
Although you're gone, gone far away
In our hearts, you shall always stay
Your soul has taken flight
And it's to our memories we hold tight
The lesson you've taught
And the joy you've brought
Will stay with us throughout the years
And through today, as we dry our tears
So now go forth to your peaceful place
And continue on in eternal grace
Let the light of love shine through
As days go by and we're reminded of you
In our memories you shall always stay
And in our hearts we shall always pray
Today, is the day that we must part,
But you'll live on, inside our hearts.
